This is my family's second time renting Westley's cottage, and we were just as happy with it this year as the previous time. The house is beautiful and large enough to host a large group of people. The open concept kitchen is great for multiple cooks and adequately stocked. And the view - you just can't beat those sunsets on the deck! It feels private, but you are also steps away from the general store, the meat market and some delicious local ice cream. Such a great place to make memories and enjoy some natural Canadian beauty with family and friends. Joshua was also an excellent host and such a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend this place to anyone!

We had a great stay. Sand beach was great for the kids, you could walk out quite far. Beautiful view from the upper deck. The place had everything we needed for our large group. We are already planning our return!

My family and I recently rented Westleys Lakehouse (along with all other cottage rentals on the property) for my sister's wedding, and it exceeded our expectations. The property was absolutely stunning, and the perfect setting for a wedding. From the beaches, to the firepit areas, to the decks, it accommodated our large group perfectly. Westleys Lakehouse, along with all other cottages, were very clean, cozy, and welcoming. Josh was a fantastic host; he communicated well, provided clear instructions, and was very friendly. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing stay at Joshua’s place! Our group of 12 (plus a few dogs) had plenty of space and felt right at home. The highlight for us was definitely the lake — absolutely perfect for fishing, kayaking, and canoeing. The direct lake access made everything super convenient, and for those into fishing, we pulled in multiple catches over 3lbs! Whether relaxing on the water or just enjoying nature, this place delivered. Highly recommend for larger groups looking to unwind lakeside. Thanks again, Joshua!

This was a beautiful place for a family gathering. The small private beach was perfect for the little kids, and the dock, supplied kayaks and canoe, gave the grown-ups opportunities to get out on the water. The place was exactly as described and provided lots of space for our group of 12. Joshua was attentive to our needs and very approachable. A great place to stay with a terrific view and all amenities provided. I would strongly recommend.

We had an amazing experience staying here for our grad trip! Our host was incredibly responsive, helpful, and super proactive—he made everything so smooth from start to finish. We felt really well taken care of and appreciated how welcoming he was to our large group. Everything we needed was within at least 10 minutes walking distance which was very helpful. The house had all the amenities we needed even supplied with some household cooking products in the cupboard! The space was perfect for our stay, and we couldn’t have asked for a better spot to celebrate such a special time. Thank you so much for making our trip so memorable!

What can I say! This place was beautiful! The scenery was breathtaking! It is the perfect getaway for a family. The kids loved the air hockey table. We didn't have to worry about bringing life jackets or sand toys as that was provided. The host was very quick to respond and he strived for us to have the best experience there. Thanks again Josh!

I can’t say enough great things about our stay at this cottage! From the moment we booked, the host was incredibly responsive and accommodating. He was quick to answer any questions and made sure everything was just right for our arrival. The cottage itself was exactly like the photos: clean, beautifully decorated, and cozy with all of the amenities we needed for a relaxing escape. One of the highlights was the location. It was private and peaceful, yet still conveniently close to a store for any essentials. Plus, it was just a 10-minute drive from a stunning provincial park with a great hiking trail. Whether you’re looking for adventure or relaxation, this place has it all and it’s perfect for large groups. Highly recommend and would absolutely stay again!

Awesome location and view, lots of room to sleep a good amount of people we had 13 of us, and nice to supply some water activities and a boat launch, great host and very understanding and helpful had a wonderful time and will for sure rebook if we want to come back!

This is our second time being hosted by Joshua. No problem with communication and always accommodating and responsive. The house was beautiful and spacious for a big group. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything that you need for your stay. Spacious rooms and bathrooms- powder room was a big bonus! We had an amazing view of the lake (best sunset). We also experienced the lunar eclipse as it was timing during our stay- we stayed up to witness it! We went on a little hike around the area and visited the general store which had everything that you need in case you miss something. We felt safe and even met a friendly dog named Newman- the kids loved him! We all had an amazing time and hoping to be back in the near future.

We were up there for a sledding trip , so can't comment on the outside amenities , but it sure looked nice , when we arrived the road and drive way were just plowed before we got there, just perfect, plenty of parking for 3 trucks and sled trailers .Trails in the area were great , took a trip to north bay , about 50 km. The house was exquisite, this is a modern place, kitchen spacious and had everything you need, 3 bedrooms upstairs 4 bedrooms downstairs. Beds were comfortable , some were soft , some firm. Internet (Starlink) was perfect, nice Tv. We will stay there again. Joshua was always available for a question with quick response time , can't ask for a better hostThanks, Mike and the Boys

Great stay! The host was very responsive, and the property had ample parking. The location offered a stunning lake view, with a picturesque setting perfect for relaxation. The kitchen was clean and well-equipped with plenty of utensils, making it ideal for cooking. There were enough bedrooms and washrooms to comfortably accommodate our big group, along with spacious living areas to gather. We especially loved the sunset-view balcony and the large windows overlooking the lake. Highly recommend this serene getaway!

I run women’s retreats several times a year, Joshua’s place was perfect. Private enough, by the water and serene this time of the year. Easily accommodated the 16 of us, with enough parking. I highly recommend and I would definitely rebook for future events. Joshua was easy to communicate with and was always responsive. Overall experience was fantastic

What an incredible place! It's a beautiful cottage with stunning views. There was plenty of space for our large family gathering - comfortable rooms and a nice sized kitchen with everything we needed. Nice hiking trails a short drive away as well. It's a beautiful area! Josh was a responsive host and got back to us quickly with any questions we had.

Fantastic place and host! Breathtaking view and we felt right at home upon walking in. Joshua was super responsive and helped us out with any questions we had. Also, have to give a shout out to the air hockey, a cool quirk that sets this place apart from anywhere else! Definitely will look into coming back in the summer so more of the outdoor amenities can be used!

We've properly enjoyed our time at Joshua's Westleys Lakehouse. We had a pretty large group - at capacity for the cottage - and everyone still had enough space, a place to sleep, and a great time. This would definitely be at the top of the list for our next occasion.

Josh’s cottage was perfect for our group of 15! Large kitchen stocked with everything you’d need, beautiful waterfront with access to water activities and amazing sunsets each night. Would definitely return! Josh was a great host, very responsive.

We had a large group but it did not feel crowded - the layout was perfect and everyone had their own space. The lake was peaceful, and watching the sun set over the water from the deck was so beautiful. It was such a nice getaway from the city. Westley's lakehouse was excellent, I would highly recommend it

It was a beautiful spot with a nice spacious cottage and long private beach. The shallow sandy water was great for the little kids. Joshua was an amazing host - very kind and responsive. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Westley’s Lakehouse! We stayed with a large group of adults, children and dogs and felt as though there was enough space for all. We really appreciated the spacious well-stocked kitchen, with a lot of space for food storage, and prep areas. Place was very clean when we arrived. We got lucky with weather and spent every day down by the beach/dock area. Great (very) gradual beach for the kiddos. We’d use the paddle boards and paddled out quite a ways to go for a lake swim/jump in. It was nice to have so many options for water toys (canoe, paddle boards, kayaks + life jackets for all sizes) and beach toys for the kids. We loved the deck and the stunning sunset views right on the water. We walked about 10ish mins to the park and Kawartha ice cream at Bud the Spud one day too. Highly recommend Westley’s Lakehouse!

Our stay at Westleys Lakehouse was perfect in every way. We had 3 generations with 8 children ranging from 1-11 years and everyone had a great time with room to spread out. The shallow water was perfect for the kids! Beautiful spot with amazing view of the lake from the deck. Joshua was quick to respond with a couple questions we had. Will be back next year!

We had a three generation family gathering at Josh's place. It was comfortable and clean. The beach and Lake was great for the young kids and those who were not 'swimmers'. The lake was amazing. Clear, clean waters great for long swims, kayaks and SUPs. Josh was quick to respond. The rules and recommendations were clearly posted/accessible. Overall, we had a amazing week!

Our stay was incredible- it was so beautiful; the views were immaculate. The host was responsive and super friendly and flexible. I had a wonderful bachelor/bachelorette weekend here and we were all so grateful to have stayed here! Was so peaceful and relaxing and the house was such a great space!

We had an amazing stay! Joshua was very responsive and helpful. The place is exactly as described. Amazing kitchen and common space. Lots of bedrooms for a comfortable stay. The beach was sandy and shallow and perfect for swimming. Everyone in our group was beyond happy with the accommodations and commented on wanting to return in the future. Great stay and hope to be back soon :)

Me and my group had a fantastic stay at the Westley Lake house. We felt right at home and the host was super responsive and friendly. It’s a gorgeous space with beautiful surroundings. It was super clean when we arrived and instructions/reminders are posted everywhere which made everything super easy! Definitely hope to return next year!

Our group of 15 had an amazing time at Joshua’s place. Everything was as described and Restoule is simply adorable. We had fun at the local park with the kiddos and checked out the gorgeous nature, all within walking distance (ok, we had to carry the little ones at times ;) ). The cottage is spacious for a large group and Joshua is a flexible and responsive host - I wouldn’t hesitate to book this space again!

We went to Westley’s lake house for family long weekend, our stay at the cottage was so amazing as the location was scenic and the cottage itself was very well maintained, well equipped and beautiful, with lots of space to accommodate big groups. We had a fantastic two-night stay at Joshua’s charming cottage. The owners equipped the well-maintained cottage with everything we needed. It felt cozy and inviting. The breathtaking lake view from the cottage was truly amazing. We can only imagine how magical it would be during the summer months. Joshua was super responsive and attentive. All necessary information was provided upfront, making our check-in, check-out, and stay stress-free. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We highly recommend this cottage to fellow travelers!

This is the 2nd time we stayed at Joshua’s beautiful cottage. First time was in December with my family while this time was along with my friends. He is a great host and very responsive. House was clean and equipped with everything we need, from utensils to blankets, towel, etc… What you see in the photos is what it actually looks like, and even more beautiful with the view. Highly recommended! We will definitely book again with him.

Wesley’s cottage is a great scenic spot, right on the water and driving distance from Restoule Provincial Park. The cottage is brand new, well equipped and with a great layout. All rooms are well appointed leaving no one disappointed. Josh is a great host. From the moment we booked the cottage he was there proactively providing info and advice or responding to any request in a matter of minutes. I would highly recommend and would be looking forward to coming back.

The house was large and spacious. We had our family of 13 and there was lots of space. The house is very new, bright and clean. The big windows looking over the lake is an amazing view. We saw an otter on the ice – so cute. The general store for last minute supplies, beer and LCBO is a two minute walk away and right after that is a beautiful river with rapids and small sets of falls. Josh was really quick to respond when we had any questions or needed anything. We went in the winter, I think it would be awesome in the summer.

What a stunning Lakehouse… we’d love to keep this one a secret! The kitchen, dining, and living areas are beautiful, modern, and spacious. The kitchen is well stocked; we cooked and served Christmas dinner for 16. In addition, this was the cleanest Airbnb we’ve ever stayed at. Usually, we have to clean refrigerators, scrub grout, and wash all the dishes when we get to an Airbnb. Everything was new and sparkling clean. The lake and view are amazing. The lake was frozen so we can’t speak on the beachfront/water. We would 100% recommend Wesley’s Cottage.

We had such a great time at Joshua’s private lakehouse. The communication was super easy and quick. The outdoor and indoor actually looked much better than the pictures. The neighborhood is very conveniently located. Comfortable bed, perfect lounge area, spacious and well-organized kitchen. I must say the breathtaking view from the deck was unreal. The only thing I would suggest is a little more stock of coffee. Although it was like 5 minutes walk to the general store to buy my brand of coffee. Would absolutely recommend staying there! Looking forward to another break next summer to enjoy the lake. Thanks for the nice experience, Joshua!

Joshua is such a great host! He seems to really care about his guests’ experience and is just so friendly and responsive. We loved our time here! The kids enjoyed playing in the shallow water (it is super shallow for a long way out which is great for kids). The house has all the amenities you need (loved having a washer and dryer as well as access to a vacuum for cleaning up sand!). There were 10 adults and 7 kids in this house and we all fit comfortably which was amazing. Overall, great stay and would happily return again!

Our family had a very nice time at Joshua’s cottage. He was extremely responsive to all of our questions. We brought a boat for tubing and a lilypad for the kids to swim out to, which they enjoyed a lot. The kayaks were easy to use and very fun, thank you for providing life jackets. The kitchen was gorgeous and had everything we needed. Laundry machines are huge and were helpful to have. Lots of room for all 12 of us, everyone had their own space. The view is beautiful. Lots of very nice quiet mornings with coffee spent on the deck overlooking the bay. Kids enjoyed the neighborhood playground and the nearby ice cream (Brain Freeze Bunkie) at the marina. They played lots of air hockey as well. Water suitable for small children as it is shallow quite a ways out. Beach nice for kids. Very short drive to the provincial park where there are several walking/hiking trails, very nice. Bring bug spray and water shoes and enjoy the peace in Restoule!

My family of 16 (10 adults and 6 young kids) stayed here for a week in July 2023. It’s not easy finding accommodations for a family this size, but this rental fit the bill! The layout was perfect for everyone to have their own space but also to enjoy time together. We had a fantastic week! The highlight was the beach and shallow water for the kids to play. Few rocks and weeds so would recommend water shoes if sensitive to that. We got out in the kayaks daily to explore the calm lake. Ducks & frogs galore! We loved being able to walk to Gerry’s General store and how close we were to the provincial park (adults went for a hike one day), playground, ice cream and Bucks Lodge (we went for dinner one night and they were very accommodating to our large group). Joshua was a super host! He always responded to our messages within minutes. We had one issue with the wifi and he had someone at the cottage within 5 minutes to fix it! We would highly recommend staying here and hope to again!

The cottage was fantastic. Lots of room for a large group with kids to spread out. The view from the deck was amazing. Cottage was very clean. Nice shallow shoreline for little peeps. The host, Joshua was very kind and responsive. We definitely will be returning.

Josh was one of the best hosts I’ve ever stayed with. He gave very clear, detailed instructions for everything. Most importantly, when we had an emergency at 3 am he responded right away and was quick to help us resolve it. That is exactly what you need in a host. The place is just as described. Brand new and absolutely spotless. The view from the deck is incredible.

From the moment we walked in the door, the views blew us away. The entire back of the cottage is filled with windows, giving us a nearly unobstructed view of the lake. The cottage was so roomy with space for everyone to spread out. The large back deck is a great feature as well. Our favorite part was the private beach along the back of the property, and we spent most of our days down there enjoying the water and sunshine!

This was our second time staying at Westley’s in Restoule! Absolutely love the cottage. Lots of space for large groups (we were about 15), beautiful lake views, and great outdoor space to relax. Definitely a spot we will visit again and again. Joshua is extremely responsive, and so friendly during the booking/vacation process!

We were a group of 16 medical students that were very tired and ready to just relax and have a great time and Joshua’s place did just that. The price was perfect for the huge place while also allowing us to have our time apart when needed to. The kitchen was absolutely beautiful and was big enough to allow for a good flow. The view was stunning to wake up to and thankfully, we still went when it was considered “winter” season so there were barely any neighbors. Joshua also went up before we all got there to bring out the kayaks for us which I really appreciated. We would for sure come back here when we have time to! Thank you so much for a great weekend!!

This was the perfect location for our family gathering. We are a large family and it was so lovely to have everyone together, yet to have the space for everyone to do something different. People were in the kitchen cooking dinner, while cards happened at the table, others read in front of the fire, some napped in their room, and of course, the kids had the run of the basement with air hockey and dance parties. The winter sun hits just right through those west windows brightening your day and giving you the warmth you need! The entranceway needs a comment because there is a washroom right there, and there is room for everyone’s shoes without causing the winter shoe mess that is at your home every winter. Everything we needed and more was there for us. Joshua was a fantastic host, his g-drive trove of info was constantly being updated, and he always had an answer for me moments after I asked, even if it was in the documents!

We had the best time in this brand-new home! The kitchen is a dream and the many bedrooms with comfy beds allowed us to spend a great weekend with our whole family including kids! The open concept was beautiful and the downstairs rec room with tv was great for the kids! The driveway is on an incline which was great for sledding! There is a store with everything you might need within a five-minute walk and if you keep walking a hundred meters there is a beautiful river with waterfalls.

First of all, big shoutouts to the host who was really responsive, helpful, and managed to secure a Christmas tree for us given short notice. The home was beautiful and spacious. Great for a big group and enough space for people to be alone if they wish. The host included a handbook of the location so make sure you read it and are prepared. The kitchen was great, had everything you needed except ingredients; bring your own spices if you’re going to cook. Nice private spot. All of us loved it.

Do not miss the opportunity to book at Westleys!! This was our first family cottage trip after covid and I could not have been happier with our stay!! Firstly, the build of the cottage is AMAZING. Unique in its own way and has such a clean, naturalistic, cozy vibe! (large windows and multiple doors to access the deck) Everything you need, the cottage has! Joshua let us know what we did need to bring and with their detailed check-in and instructions our stay was seamless. When we first checked in, I could not contain my big smile and excitement as we explored the cottage! The sunset from the deck was BREATHTAKING. The kitchen was BEAUTIFUL and fully stocked with all the dishes, utensils, kitchen gadgets that you would need. The kids enjoyed the air hockey table, which was definitely a hit. The place was as if it was built brand new just for us! The firepit was great! and there was a corner store around the corner that had many things stocked if needed (including alcohol). I have nothing negative to say nor did we experience any difficulties with our stay. Thank you so much, Joshua, for this beautiful accommodation!! Can’t wait to visit again!!
